This is done right?
Sondre
This is probably my biggest annoyance at the moment. It makes me feel very vulnerable, and makes me avoid things like:
- Uploading workout progress
- Adding images of old memories/letters
- Drawings or paintings I've made or been given.

Hi Alex, this is such a key feature that I didn't realize was missing. One of the things that attracted me to Reflect is E2EE but noticing images/attachments are not encrypted will keep me from importing my old notes and using Reflect.
If this does get completed in Q1 this year, I'll be back soon to try it out.
Alex MacCaw
This feature will be sometime- probably Q1 2024.

Alex MacCaw any news on when this will be available. This is the only thing keeping me in Apple Notes for sensitive information in attachments. That and the capacity to take photos and scans from within the app.
Alex MacCaw
Dean McGrath we are putting together a design doc and starting to work on it right now coincidentally. Very complicated though.
btw Apple Notes aren't e2e encrypted by default
Dean McGrath
Alex MacCaw agreed, but notes that I secure are fully e2e encrypted including attachattachmentsements. I am keeping sensitive info in Notes for now - pdfs, photos of my day, etc. Furthermore I've enabled advanced data protection for icloud, which according to my research e2e encrypts everything and only allow acces through trusted devices.
Still use Reflect for all my text based stuff.

need this before start! any update?

Any updates on this feature? It's also essential for me to use Reflect as my daily driver.

Absolutely essential before I can go all in.

Love the client-side encryption for notes and it would be great to do the same for files and images. I have quite a few confidential files and screenshots in my current database. It would be difficult to use the app if you have to think twice before adding data to Reflect.
